This blog is being used for a book we'll be giving to Dave the night of the party. This book will be a collection of well wishes, stories, tributes, etc from all his friends, former players, coaches. It's very simple - like signing a yearbook. You can be as creative or simple as you want. Don't be left out. If you want to be in Dave's yearbook, you need to post your note by MAY 14th! Just email patrickdugg@gmail.com with your contribution and we'll post it for you.

Jimmy Dowd, 2005-2006

As a coach, your job is to not only to teach your players about the game of basketball, but to also teach your players about life as well. Coach Dave, you have gone beyond this obligation and you have taught us all how to become men. As a player, I knew how to play to a great level of intensity, but you also taught me to play with heart as well. Your guidance as a coach allowed me to become a better player, whether it was a win or a loss. Yet, you always had the positive attitude that pushed us all along to win. You watched me play from 5th grade all the way to high school and your presence made me remember what I could become. Your faith in me pushed me further than I could imagine and the lessons I learned on and off the court is a true testament to your great coaching ability. Your legacy as a coach at St. Thomas will never be forgotten and the mark you left on me as a great coach will never leave me because without you, Coach Dave, I would have never became the person I am today. God bless you, Coach Dave, you truly are the greatest.
