Dear Dave,
Thank you so much for three of the greatest years of our lives. Watching all of the boys play under your wonderful coaching was sheer pleasure. While the number of games could be exhausting (I remember 3 in one day in 3 different locations), the thrill of it all was exhilarating. But your coaching went far beyond the finer points of the game. Through your example and dedication, your team learned more than just basketball. You instilled in them a sense of sportsmanship and fair play that stayed with them both on and off the court and continues to be a part of their lives today. All of your boys from those three years have gone on to be successful in their endeavors - an attorney, two decorated war heroes, a college basketball coach, and several successful businessmen, just to name a few.
Thank you again for all that you did for St. Thomas Aquinas and the lucky boys who had the chance to play for you. God bless you.
